The final hurrah at the Melbourne Cup Carnival is Stakes Day where there are no customary dress codes or traditional rules for your outfit. It’s your last opportunity to hit the track but keep in mind this is by far the most relaxed day of the entire carnival. The laid-back feel of the day gives you the chance to be a little more casual with your outfit choice, so lift the hem for a flirty, garden-party feel & keep it relaxed with a low-key headwear choice. Boys, the official flower for the day (and for your lapel) is a red rose.

And (phewf!) that’s it for my spring racing carnival style guides this year, so here’s to a magnificent week ahead. It all kicks off this weekend so be sure to follow all of The Birdcage action on my snapchat throughout the week. See you trackside! xx
