Nothing screams autumn quite like unpredictable weather patterns, increasingly grey skies & transeasonal fashion choices. As the days grow darker and the clouds get thicker why not reflect the dull skies with your wardrobe choices? Say hello to fifty shades of grey outfits…
(Country Road pieces worn throughout: knit cardigan, tie-up sweater, skinny jeggings, felt hat, jersey dress, quilt tote, pink sneakers, split jumper, metallic brogues, cross-body bag, wool scarf, sunglasses)
An oversized, cosy knit cardigan is one such must-have & is personally my number one go-to as a transeasonal layering piece. It is super versatile & can easily be thrown over denim shorts, summer dresses, skinny jeans or even delicate cami’s. Add a pair of your favourite metallic brogues & you have yourself an everyday autumn outfit.
Another standout piece this season is the jersey midi dress. With a tie up waist designed to flatter the female silhouette, this easy number is a style that will suit all body shapes. Again, the layering options are endless, or keep it simple & let the dress speak for itself.
Finally, you can never go wrong with a great fitting pair of jeans but have you tried the jegging?! All the benefits (& looks!) of denim but in a form-fitting, easy-moving fabric. Also don’t be afraid to try some an alternate shade of denim this autumn, like this stunning charcoal hue. It will pair perfectly against the rest of your grey pallette.
Next up, let’s talk accessories. Think woollen scarves, felt hats & fabric totes for the season ahead. A personal favourite is this chevron-quilted wool carry-all which in all it’s bottomless glory can hold all of your day-to-day necessities with room to spare. Now that’s my kind of bag!
Remember to keep your key wardrobe pieces neutral with so many shades of grey on offer, you can mix & match across the spectrum. It’s all about easy-wearing, cosy & comfortable pieces, so naturally Country Road has you covered! x
