An all black outfit is one of the chicest, easiest outfit options out there, but who said you can’t add some muted shades to break up the monotony? Enter Karen Millen & her latest collection of winter warmers that will not only keep you toasty warm, but looking effortlessly chic as the temperature drops…
(Karen Millen trench coat & faux leather looleggings, Boohoo knit cardigan, Assembly Label navy tee, Karen Millen handbag (ON SALE), Jendi pom-pom beanie, Ray-Ban hexagonal sunglasses, Chanel espadrilles)
I would like to think I know a thing or two about layering. I mean, coming from Melbourne, it’s practically the first thing you learn after tying your shoelaces. It’s also one of my favourite fashion pastimes, I physically struggle to walk out of the house without adding an extra layer or two to my outfit. My latest layering obsession (& goose-bump-avoiding strategy) is to add a wooly knit cardigan under an oversized long coat.
Speaking of coats, I have had a black trench on my to-buy list for a very long time, so when I spied this divine Karen Millen number, I immediately pounced! From the moment I tried it on, the fit was absolutely spot on so naturally I have been wearing it everyday since. Same goes for these deliciously soft leather look leggings … heaven.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love an all black outfit as much as any good Melbournian, but it’s nice to add another shade (without going OTT) occasionally isn’t it? Think tonal hues such as greys & navies to break up the look without losing that dark, winter vibe. This suede cobalt Karen Millen chain bag ticks that box perfectly, plus it has that fits-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink capability which is ALWAYS a bonus. And did I mention it’s currently on sale right now?! Best hurry ladies!
Also thanks so much from the bottom of my heart for all your lovely, heart-warming & encouraging feedback regarding my new YouTube channel. I want it to be a real, relatable, unedited look at my world & my life. It means so much to me that you guys are as excited about this new chapter as I am. So truly, truly thank you… xx
