Last weekend I had the pleasure of heading to Byron Bay for Australia’s answer to Coachella, Splendour in the Grass. As always, the musical festival fashion scene was awash with fun, colour & creativity. I often struggle with what to pack for a weekend filled with sunshine, dancing and glitter but this year my lovely friends at Spell and the Gyspy Collective came to the rescue. The great thing about music festivals is that it’s a time where you can step outside the box & experiment with looks you may not normally wear in your day to day life. This year I opted to wear some incredible boho-inspired & spin-worthy pieces for the occasion. Because really, who doesn’t want to live their best summery, bohemian, music-filled life at least once!
And of course, no music festival journey is complete without your festival bestie. I was reunited with my beautiful friend & fellow influencer Christina Macpherson for the weekend. We even co-ordinated our Spell outfits without planning to! In an industry that is seemingly littered with pretenders, it is incredible to find such a genuine, loving & like-minded human amongst it all. I was lucky enough to meet this beauty on a media trip a few years ago & we have kept in touch ever since. I am so glad our paths managed to cross again! To keep things easy & breezy I like to size up my festival dresses. I opted for mediums in these Spell numbers but if you are after a more snug fit you can definitely size down as they are all super roomy. Whip on a cute belt or a bum bag & your festival outfit is sorted! And if you are like me and addicted to headwear, grab a Lack of Color fedora to top it all off. Go get it girl, you are festival ready!
